Popstar finished up Chapter 4 in her Beyond Five in a Row book for school (back in February! I know, I’m behind), Thomas A. Edison Young Inventor.
(Please note: This post contains activities from the Beyond Five in a Row Volume 1 Manual.)
Chapter 4 is called “Off For A New Home” and in this chapter the family is packing up their old house and moving to their new one.
There weren’t very many lessons for this chapter, so we only spent one school day on it.
Day One: Popstar read the chapter and answered the Writing/Discussion Questions in her notebook and then read over the Bible lesson. The Bible lesson talked about moving and referenced Moses and the Israelites moving around.
There were only two other lessons after that, we weren’t able to do the Science lesson which was about packing and practicing how to pack breakables. We did get to do the Fine Arts lesson on Drawing Illustrations, The Edisons’ Home. We read over the description of the house and then she used colored pencils and drew what she thought it looked like.
And that was it for Chapter 4. Like I said, this one was pretty short on lessons so we quickly moved onto the next chapter.
