We’re starting our new school year on July 11, 2016. I thought I would share with you the curriculum we’ll be using for each child.

We always start out our day with Bible. To start this year, we will be using Bible Stories for Young Readers Series by Rod and Staff Publishers. This series includes Bible Numbers, Dictionary of Bible Animals, ABC Book of Bible People, Bible Time, Children of the Old Testament and Children of the New Testament.

Popstar is in 7th Grade this year. Here is what she’ll be doing:

Also, Popstar and Flash will be working on several things together:

This US History Workbook: The American People & Nation

I’ll be reading them this book during October-November about Elections: America Votes, How our President is Elected

From the Miller Family Series, we’ll be reading Prudence and the Millers and doing the Prudence and Your Health Workbook that goes along with it.

For Christmas this year, I found a Unit Study called Celebrate Christmas in Colonial America. We will also be reading Jotham’s Journey for Christmas.

The boys will also be doing a special month long Unit Study on Football in January and we’ll be using Football Frenzy by Amanda Bennett.

So that’s about it. This is what we have planned, but it seems like our plans change a good bit so we will take it one day at a time and see how it goes. We’ve had almost 6 weeks off of school now and it’s going to be great to get started next week and get back into our routine again. I’m very excited about what’s to come in our new school year!
