I have a new recipe to share with you. I don’t know if you could actually call this a recipe, it is just something very easy to make that my family enjoys. You know I love love love my crockpot and this is another super easy one to throw in for dinner, Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti with Garlic Bread.

So here is what I did for the chicken spaghetti:

Step #1: Gather Ingredients:

  1. 4-6 large boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  2. A large jar of spaghetti sauce
  3. Pasta, any kind

Step #2: Place chicken in the crockpot and pour spaghetti sauce over it. You can use frozen or thawed chicken. If you use frozen, just cook it a little longer than the thawed. Set crockpot to Low for about 6 hours if thawed.

This is the best part…you get to just leave it sit and cook until about an hour before it’s done! This is why I LOVE crockpot cooking!

Step #3  About an hour before the chicken is done, start cooking your pasta. This time I used Penne, but you can use almost any kind you like.

Step #4  While the pasta is cooking, get out the ingredients for the garlic bread.

Garlic Bread Ingredients:

  1. A loaf of Italian or French bread.  (I stock up on the discounted loaf bread at Walmart when they mark it down to 50 cents a loaf and put it in my freezer. It only takes about a half hour to thaw and works great for this recipe!
  2. Butter (Make sure to use a spreadable kind)
  3. Cheese  (This time I used shredded Mozzarella, but you can use any kind of shredded or grated parmesan)
  4. Garlic Powder (Optional)

Step #5  Turn oven onto broil. Slice bread, if it is not pre-sliced. Spread about a teaspoon of butter onto each slice of bread and place on baking pan. Sprinkle with cheese and garlic powder.

Step #6  Bake about 5 minutes. Check often because broil cooks really fast and can burn easily.

Step #7  Serve pasta with sauce and chicken over it, sprinkle with cheese and add a piece of garlic bread on the side.

See how easy that was? So simple and yet so yummy and filling!
