This year, our Homeschool support group which is called Y.E.A.H. (York Educators At Home) held and end of the school year celebration and Learning Fair. The kids were able to display projects they had worked on. We had 4 projects from our family.

Popstar had two projects, both from FIAR books from Volume 4. One was from The Raft and the other was from Arabella. For The Raft, she made a River Diorama and even included a little boy on a raft in the river. And for Arabella, she made a salt map island complete with a ship in the background. I think I had more fun with these than she did!

The boys made 2 projects to go along with FIAR books they had done this year. One was from Volume 1, Night of the Moonjellies. We did an ocean diorama. The other was from Volume 3, The Salamander Room.

The Learning Fair/End of School Year celebration was a lot of fun. We had pizza and desserts and were able to fellowship with the other families in our homeschool support group. We joined this group when my oldest first started Kindergarten and over the years the people in the group have become like family. We do a weekly coop on Friday afternoons, for 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the winter/spring. We just finished our 7th year and even though it was rough to miss naptime when the kids were younger, it has been such a blessing to us and was so worth it. It’s just so hard to believe another school year has come and gone. I have mixed emotions about finishing a school year because I’m relieved in some ways and others I’m sad because that’s another year gone and these babies of mine are that much closer to growing up.  It just makes me so thankful that I am able to homeschool my kids and make all these memories with them. It is so worth all the hard work.
